Project Manager- GRNC Community Connect Project
Work setting:Â Office and occasionally hybrid if productive and imporant and essential.
Salary: Between £30000-£36000 depending on experience (Fulltime, Flexible, Job share)
Contract type: 2-year Lottery Funded Project
Location: Rushmoor
NOTE: This role will predominantly support Nepalese beneficiaries, therefore excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Nepali and English are equally essential.
Position Overview:
The GRNC Project Manager for Community Connect Project will be responsible for leading the development, programme organisation and execution of volunteer-led activities to combat loneliness and increase health and well-being awareness and activities within the Nepalese community in Rushmoor and the surrounding areas. This role also aims to support the Nepali community’s integration into the wider local community while preserving Nepalese culture, tradition, and community identity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Management:
- Implement and oversee systems and processes to support the efficient running of project activities for GRNC members, volunteers, and the wider Nepalese community.
- Lead and work closely with GRNC president, Trustees, and the Executive Committee team to ensure compliance with policies covering health and safety, risk assessments, data protection and other regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with funding and delivery partners to align goals and objectives and manage project governance, performance, and quality standards.
- Ensure the safe keeping and management of all project documents.
- Financial Management:
- Work closely with GRNC president, Trustees, and Treasurer to implement and support financial systems and processes that comply with GRNC’s Financial Controls policy.
- Manage project budgets, control costs, and provide accurate financial reporting.
- Volunteer Management:
- Support the recruitment, retention, and training of GRNC volunteers to help run activities such as cooking, singing, music, art, ESOL, and other cultural activities.
- Work closely with GRNC representatives and volunteers to coordinate the delivery of volunteer-led activities each week.
- Ensure health and safety and well-being of all staff and volunteers and investigate any safeguarding incidents promptly to ensure appropriate actions are taken on time to prevent further harm.
- Community Engagement:
- Undertake regular engagement and consultation with the wider Nepalese community to inform the GRNC Community Connect Project’s program of activities.
- Attend networking events and build knowledge of local VCSE to signpost service users to appropriate sources of support.
- Work closely with RVS for funding opportunities and to work closely with other charity organisations.
- Data Collection and Analysis:
- Collect, interpret, and present quantitative and qualitative data from activities to fulfil the evaluation and monitoring requirements of funders.
- Conduct regular wellness and wellbeing surveys to assess the impact of activities on attendees and volunteers.
- Marketing and Communications:
- Collaborate with GRNC’s Communications team to ensure all publicity and materials used for the project are appropriately branded for GRNC, National lottery funding, and other funders.
- Maintain up-to-date content on partner websites and support postings on appropriate platforms to promote and showcase the Project.

- Perform other tasks as specified by the Trustees and President of GRNC.
Person Specification:
- Essential:
- Experience in developing and implementing systems and processes to support the delivery of services.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage a wide variety of stakeholders and clients.
- Possess excellent computer skills as well as office management and administrative skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a team.
- Flexible and methodical approach to work.
- Educated to ‘A’ level standard or equivalent.
- Desirable:
- Understanding of the impact of loneliness and experience of running a community centre or similar project.
- Experience in recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers.
- Experience of multi-partner working.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Appreciation of the Nepalese language and culture and/or understanding of the Armed Forces.
Note:
Due to the nature of the project, the postholder may occasionally be required to work outside normal contracted hours to support the community activities and attend GRNC meetings. Time off in lieu will be provided where necessary. Closing date of Application is on Frinday 26 July 2024.

Either Volunteer and or milage or per hour rate will be given. Teaching qulalification and experiences would be advantage, commit for three month one to two hour per sunday or may continue.
